Founder and Principal
Carl has practised as a corporate and commercial lawyer and business adviser since the mid-1990s. His practice focuses on corporate transactions, financing, corporate governance and other significant commercial matters. He has acted as lead counsel and adviser in numerous acquisitions, investments, divestments and restructurings in Sweden and Norway, with long-standing experience of cross-border Swedish-Norwegian matters as well as other international transactions.
He has extensive experience of acquisition finance, secured lending and complex refinancing arrangements involving large corporate groups, both through financial institutions and the issuance of listed corporate bonds. His practice also includes real estate transactions and related financing, particularly where property ownership forms part of a wider corporate or investment structure. His work regularly involves demanding commercial negotiations.
He advises owners and decision-makers in matters where legal, commercial and strategic considerations intersect. His advice combines legal and financial analysis with a practical focus on strategy, structure and communication.
Carl has extensive board experience, including in major Nordic care-sector groups financed through listed bond structures.
Carl practises from his office in Stockholm under the professional title advokat. He is qualified to use the Swedish professional title civilekonom. He holds an LL.M., a B.Sc. in Business and Economics and a University Diploma in English, all from Stockholm University.
